Sometimes you may want to go on a safari but you don’t want to take a long trip out of Nairobi, or you may have some time to spare during your business trip in Nairobi. This is where the Nairobi National Park suits your needs perfectly. Nairobi National Park trumps all wildlife conservancies in the world because it is the only National Park on the edge of a city, where the animals can enjoy the vast untouched open plains and forests against the backdrop of Nairobi City in the distance
Wide open grass plains, the backdrop of the city scrapers, and scattered acacia bushes all play host to the wide variety of wildlife you can find in Nairobi National Park, including the endangered black rhino, lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, buffalo, giraffe and a diverse bird life, with over 400 species recorded. You can also enjoy the park’s picnic sites, three campsites and the walking trails for hikers.
Due to the proximity of the park to Nairobi City, you can choose to have a day trip or a sundowner in the park, or you may wish to stay over at one of the two lovely lodges; Emakoko or Ololo Safari Lodge
